This drive was led by a dear friend of mine from the club. I have driven maximum times with them and have good friends apart from being club mates.

The drive was a training series that they have been scheduling. This time it was for tackling the Technical Terrain. Technical Terrain in the off-roading parlance means small narrow dunes.

The drive originated near the Lisaili camel track and planned to go towards Qudra. We started at dawn with a stunning fiery red sun rising in the east accompanied by hot air balloons. After we dove past the dirt track towards the end of the camel track, we immediately faced some tight bowls. As is norm, there were many refusals, with one person having a little too many of them somehow. We had to use my winch, that I had recently got spooled over, and pulled him. I too had some a couple of refusals and saw myself having a crested on a ridge while highlighting how it is done (face palm). They tried to remove sand under my car – which did not work, so the sweep who is also a support staff pulled me over.

We drove for 27.55 km taking a total of 3:28 hours and of which 1:52 hours were spent moving.
