Al Qua’a is approx 250 km away from my home – thus it is almost entirely impossible to drive there in the morning to participate. So I along with a couple of dear friends we went there the previous evening. We all started at different times but reached the ADNOC fuel station about the same time. We filled up our cars as well as extra cans of fuel. I had 40 l on top of my 60l in the car. We trio as a convoy started to the meeting point and camped nearby inside the desert. I led the convoy. In the evening we made some BBQ and had some drinks to go with it. It was a spectacular morning next day. Sadly the phone of one of my friends who was the lead of our convoy was lost somehow and while we tried to find it we could not.

The drive initially was marred by some technical issues of the leads car. It could not have got worse but as the the day progressed it turned out to be one of the best drives ever. We did over 100km in 100 km Dune, we did 360 ind 720 dune and climbed up the Y60 Dune as well.
